Russell F. Murphy, Jr., age 69, of New Egypt died Sunday, April 8 at RWJ University Hospital in Hamilton. Born in Barnegat, he had been a resident of New Egypt for the past 30 years, coming from West Windsor. Russell was employed at CPR Services in Robbinsville and was a veteran of the US Navy. He also had raced stock cars at East Windsor Speedway. He is survived by his wife, Linda (nee Reed) Murphy of New Egypt; two daughters, Ellen Lynn Gibson and husband James of Cookstown and Heather Murphy-Griggs and husband George of Cookstown and four grandchildren, Koty Cottrell, Ashley Gibson and Dylan & Jack Griggs. Funeral services and interment are private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com).
