Alfred Green, age 89, of Cooksown died Thursday, July 11 at home. Born in Cookstown, he was a lifetime area resident. Alfred was retired from Ocean Spray in Bordentown and loved to garden. He was predeceased by his wife, Rose (nee Myroncuk) Green and by 5 brothers, George, Stanley, Harold, Charles and Elmer Green. Alfred is survived by six sisters, Mary Reed of Pennsville, Dorothy Hopkins of Browns Mills, Rae Harker of Cream Ridge, Dolores Anderson of Browns Mills, Janet Loafer of Delanco and Shirley Graffa of Metuchen; many nieces and nephews and three grand nieces and nephews who he thought of as his grandchildren, Taylor, Tyler and Dylan. Funeral services for Alfred will be held on Monday, July 15 at 11:00 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with burial to follow in the Jacobstown Cemetery. Family and friends may visit from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
