John S. Oldzej, age 52, of New Egypt died Monday, July 29 at home. Born in Princeton, NJ, he has been a resident of New Egypt for the past 25 years and formerly lived in the Hightstown/East Windsor area. John had worked as a heavy equipment operator for Bil-Jim Construction in Jackson, NJ and he enjoyed collecting and restoring antique tractors and was a member of the Central Jersey Tractor Pull Association of Burlington County. John was predeceased by his mother and step-father, Loretta and Bert Walker, his father, Stanley Oldzej and by a sister and brother, Barbara Goad and Stanley Oldzej. He is survived by two sisters, Susan Stoney and husband Bruce of Deer Park, TX and Diane Bowers of Las Vegas, NV and seven nieces and nephews, George Stoney and Brian Stoney of Houston, TX, Traci Barr of California, Jennifer Kirkland, Gregory Oldzej, Ashley Oldzek and Cara Oldzej, all of Florida. A memorial service for John will be held on Friday evening, August 2 at 7:00 PM at the Church of the Assumption Chapel, 76 Evergreen Road in New Egypt with calling hours from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the church.
