James J. Robbins, age 59, of New Egypt died Friday, August 2 in New Egypt. Born in Trenton, he was a lifetime New Egypt area resident. Jim was a 1971 Graduate of Allentown (NJ) High School. He recently retired from the Carpenters Union Local 255 in Hammonton after 40 years of service, having joined the union in 1973. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping, but most of all, enjoyed spending time with his family. Jim is survived by his wife, Arlene “Mickey” (nee Anderson) Robbins; his parents, Donald and Ruth (nee Van Arsdale) Robbins Sr. of Whiting; five children, James J. Robbins Jr. of Willingboro, Lisa Winters and husband E.J. of Little Egg Harbor, Stacey Dixon and husband Patrick of Steilacoom, Washington, Kayla Robbins-Davis and husband Adam Davis of McGuire AFB and Brandi Robbins of New Egypt; a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Janette Robbins Jr. of New Egypt; a sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Jim Castronova of Beach Haven; two grandchildren, Cameron and Madison Winters and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Jim will be held on Saturday, August 17 at 4:00 PM at New Egypt United Methodist Church – Atkinson Hall on Fort Avenue in New Egypt with calling hours from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Saturday at Atkinson Hall.
