Obituary of Dennis L. Perrine

Dennis L. Perrine, age 58, of Browns Mills lost his battle with cancer on Monday, August 19 at Samaritan Hospice in Mt. Holly. Born in Mt. Holly, he was a lifetime resident of Browns Mills. Denny was employed as a heavy equipment operator with Wm. Pointsett Excavating before starting his own business, Denny Perrine Siding and Whitesbog Development Corp. He also was a toll collector for the Burlington County Bridge Commission and most recently he was a bus driver for the Wolfington Bus Company driving for the Plumsted Twp. Schools. Denny was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Phillies Fan and loved NASCAR especially Dale Ernhardt. He also enjoyed playing horse shoes and camping trips with his family and friends. Denny was predeceased by his father, Leonard “Buster” Perrine and by a brother, Ronald Perrine. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 40 years, Patricia (nee Estelle) Perrine; their daughter, Renee Perrine of Browns Mills; his mother, Pearl Perrine of Browns Mills; three sisters, Karen Taylor of Vermont, Shirley Schmidt of Whiting and Arline Laurick of Whiting; two brothers, Ricky Perrine and fiancée Alice Budden of Browns Mills and Leonard Perrine of Riverside; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews and Denny is also survived by his best buddy, his dog, Chester. Funeral services for Denny will be held on Friday, August 23 at 8:00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com) with Deacon Mike O’Brien officiating. Calling hours will be on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Denny’s name may be made to Victory Junction, 4500 Adam’s Way, Randleman, NC 27317 (www.victoryjunction.org).
