James S. Diblin, 87, of Willingboro, NJ passed away Monday, November 4, 2013. James was predeceased by his loving wife of 49 years, Sophie Zebrowski Diblin. James was born and grew up in Hightstown, NJ and later moved to Trenton, NJ where he embraced the city before moving on to Roebling, Riverside and finally settling with his family in Willingboro. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II and spent the next 30 years driving tractor trailers for Ritchie and Page Budweiser Distributors, and Transcon Lines. During his travels, James enjoyed seeking out all the best “out of the way” hidden gems that offered good food and good people. After his retirement, he and Sophie would often spend their days taking long drives together revisiting all these places. James was predeceased by his parents, James and Jennie Diblin and his brother George (Buck) Diblin. James is survived by his beloved children, Barbara Jean Dunn and her husband Art Schipske of Yardville, and his son Sam Diblin and his wife Jeanne Costanzo Diblin of Marlton, and his grandchildren Andrew and Anthony Dunn, and Jacqueline and Sammy Diblin. James is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends. A service will be held in James honor on Friday, November 8, 2013, 10:30 am at the chapel at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562 (Please meet at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com) at 10:00 AM on Friday to drive to the cemetery in procession.) In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catholic Charities, West State St., Trenton, NJ.
