Obituary of Joyce C. Vandal

Joyce C. Vandal, 86, of New Egypt, NJ, previously of Wallingford, CT, beloved wife of the late Ernest Vandal died peacefully Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton surrounded by her loving family. Joyce was born in Northbridge, Massachusetts, March 5, 1927, the daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine Stevenson. She was happiest spending time with her family and friends. She could always put a smile on your face with her witty remarks and everyone enjoyed her handed down family recipes. She is survived by her three daughters, Patricia Eroh and her husband Mark; Paula Doyon and her husband Rodney and Katherine Vandal; a daughter-in-law, Joyce E. Vandal, wife of deceased son Thomas. Six grandchildren, Shawn (Ken) Clark, Thomas Vandal Jr., Christen (Ryan) Riley, Sarah Eroh, Julie (Rob) Quattrone, Rebekah Eroh; Six great-grandchildren, Dustin, Kalei, Hailey, Allyssa, Lori Ann Riley and Blake Vandal; sister, Janice (Harold) Riding; several nieces and nephews and two grand dogs. She was pre-deceased by her brother, Bruce Stevenson. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, February 22, 2014, 12:00 Noon at the Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Road, Wallingford, CT. There are no calling hours.
