Margaret E. Hurley, age 90, of New Egypt died Monday, February 24 at Beacon Shores Nursing & Rehab Center in Virginia Beach, VA. Born in New Egypt, she was a lifetime area resident. Margaret was a member of the Building on the Rock Community Church in Manchester Twp. Wife of the late William “Ed” Hurley, Sr., she is survived by three sons, William E. Hurley, Jr. of New Egypt, Harry Howard Hurley and wife Nancy of Faquay-Varina, NC and Frank David Hurley, Sr. and wife Diane of New Egypt; three daughters, Dixie Lee Eden of New Egypt, Zanetta Lu Harrington and husband Joe of Virginia Beach, VA and Cheryl Ann Springett and husband Rick of Wrightstown; a sister, Lorraine Hanley of Rigelsville, SC; 15 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Margaret will be held on Saturday, March 1 at 11:00 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with burial to follow in the Jacobstown Cemetery in Jacobstown. Calling hours will be on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
