Jessie Argento, age 79, of Jackson died Thursday, February 25 at Centra State Medical Center in Freehold. Born in Scotland, she was a resident of Stratford and New Egypt, NJ before moving to Jackson five years ago. Jessie is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Vee Ann and Kurt Grant of New Egypt and Sharon Linnell of Elizabeth; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Greg Argento of Neptune and Gerald and Donna Argento of Manahawkin; a sister, Lilly Merry of Scotland; nine grandchildren, Michael and Nicolas Grant, Christopher, Kevin, Jennifer and Gina Linnell, Anthony Argento and Nicole and Lauren Argento and a great grandson, Tyler Lucia. Funeral services for Jessie will be held on Monday, March 1 at 11:00 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt, with Rev. Horace Frantz, officiating. Burial will follow in the Jacobstown Cemetery in Jacobstown. Calling hours will be on Monday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
