Michael R. Matthews, age 59, of Pemberton died Saturday, April 5 at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly. Born in Mt. Holly, he was a lifetime Pemberton area resident. Mike was the owner & operator of Mike’s Auto Repair Service in Pemberton. He enjoyed collecting and restoring antique tractors and motorcycles and liked going to auctions. Mike would always be there to help anyone in need. Mike was predeceased by his parents, Mildred A. (Danley) and Willard Matthews, Sr., a brother, Ronald Matthews and by a sister, Judith Dayko. He is survived by two brothers, Willard Matthews, Jr. and wife Karol and Dave Matthews and wife Beth; a sister, Nancy Matthews and her partner Dave all of Pemberton; many nieces, nephews and cousins and also survived by many friends. Funeral services for Mike will be held on Tuesday, April 15 at 12:00 Noon at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with burial to follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Pemberton Borough. Calling hours will be on Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM until noon at the funeral home.
