Joan L. Jones, 63, of the Cedar Glen Lakes section of Whiting, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 19, 2014. Born in Allentown, NJ, she lived there and in Mercerville prior to moving to Whiting in 2008. She worked for Bank of America for 28 years before retiring. Joan was a Red Hat Lady, who enjoyed spending her summers in Sandy Creek, NY. She loved being outdoors, fishing and going to the stock car races. Predeceased by her mother Martha, Joan is survived by her father, Kenneth Sexton, of Cream Ridge; her husband of 39 years, Michael; her 2 sisters, Christine (Ronnie) Hamm of Kenly, NC, and Janet Sexton of Sandy Creek, NY; her 2 nephews, Billy Jack and Donovan Brown of NC; her very dear friend, Linda Myroncuk of Jacobstown, and her dog, Bullet. Joan also leaves behind her numerous friends at and around the Colonial Court Campground in Sandy Creek, NY; the Red Hat Ladies of Pulaski, NY; and several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
