Obituary of Dennis Lester Haines

Dennis Lester Haines, age 57, of New Egypt passed away Tuesday, November 25 at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold. Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident. Dennis grew up with a love of nature and the outdoors that turned into a job as a forest ranger, then on to a job with Rutgers Horticultural Development Department in Freehold. He loved to go hunting, fishing, sailing, flying and working with wood. These were just some of his hobbies, but he was more than content just being home with his wife Connie and his beloved dogs. Dennis was predeceased by his parents, Doris and Charles Robert Haines, Sr. He is survived by his beloved wife of 10 years, Connie (Hurley) Haines; four children, Jeffery Haines, Adam Dennis Haines, Mitchell Raymond Haines and Nicolette Rene Haines; two step-children, Aaron Shiner and wife Jennifer and Rene Mans and husband Marcus; two brothers, Charles Robert Haines Jr. and Leonard Haines; two sisters, Barbara Davidson and Beverly Burke Mauder; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; seven nieces and five nephews. A memorial service for Dennis will be held on Sunday, December 7 at 4:00 PM at the Building on the Rock Community Church, 89 Beckerville Road, Manchester, NJ 08759 (www.botrchurch.com), with calling hours from 3:00 to 4:00 PM at the church. In lieu of flowers, it is respectfully requested that memorial contributions is Dennis’ name be made to the Building on the Rock Community Church at the above address. Arrangements are under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral Home in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com).
