****THE SERVICES FOR EARL SEXTON HAVE BE CHANGED TO FRIDAY EVENING, MARCH 6, WITH CALLING HOURS FROM 6:00 TO 8:00 PM AND THE FUNERAL SERVICE AT 7:30PM Earl Sexton, age 89,of Wrightstown passed away Thursday, February 26 at AristaCare at Whiting. Earl was born in Ellisdale, NJ. He was the son of the late J. Norman and Lillian Sexton and was a lifetime resident of Wrightstown. He was a decorated Navy veteran serving in World War II, a former member of the American Legion Post 455 in New Egypt and a member of the VFW Leonard Sexton Memorial Post 6590 in Cookstown; named after his son. Earl worked and retired as a driver for Southern Wood Piedmont Company. He was a loving husband, father and brother who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Earl is predeceased by his first wife Amy, their two sons; Paul and Leonard Sexton, second wife; Bernice Sexton, and his dear friend Steffie Newell. Earl is survived by his son Frank Sexton of South Carolina, his step-daughters; Josephine Parker of New Egypt and Patricia Wolanin of North Hanover Twp., his brother; Kenneth Sexton and fiancé Shirley Bowers of Cream Ridge, his daughter-in-law; Dolly Morris Sexton and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 from 6pm to 8pm at the Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 (www.tilghmanfh.com). A funeral service will begin at 7:30pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family request that donation be made in Earl’s memory to the Cookstown VFW Post 6590: P.O. Box 265, Cookstown, NJ 08511.
