Laura J. Zimerla, age 50, of Jackson died Friday, May 25 at Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she had been a resident of Jackson for the past 9 years and had previously lived in Lakewood and Howell. Laura had been a school bus driver. Daughter of the late James and Margaret Angelo, she is survived by a daughter, Sarah Zimerla of Jackson; a longtime companion, Gary Kemp of Jackson; a sister, Linda Angelo of Brick, and her former husband, Carl Zimerla of Jackson. Funeral services and interment are private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com).
