Obituary of William J. Solarski

William J. Solarski Jr., 84, of Jacobstown, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson in Hamilton. Born in Newark to the late William Sr. and Violet Solarski, he was a graduate of Trenton Catholic High School. William was also a proud member of the Local 701 Teamsters Union and worked for Adley Express and Davidson. He was also employed at Princeton Armored Cars and the US Postal Service. From 1953 to 1955 William proudly served as a US Army Ranger during the Korean Conflict. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. William is predeceased by his parents and his three brothers; Donald Solarski, Theodore Solarski and Edward Solarski. He leaves behind his loving wife of 58 years, Teresa Solarski (Dziadzio) of Jacobstown, his two sons; William J. Solarski III of Amarillo TX and Andrew E. Solarski of Jacobstown NJ, his two daughters; Teresa Solarski of Wrightstown NJ and Diane Solarski of West Deptford NJ, six grandchildren; William Solarski, Derek Solarski, Ritchie Solarski, Rachel Benton, Dayna Bloom and Aleece Solarski, two great-grandchildren; Brinya Benton and Sydney Bloom, and his brother Gerald Solarski. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, May 29, 2015 from 4pm to 8pm at Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 (TilghmanFH.com). A funeral service will take place at 7pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
