Obituary of Anthony DiPaolo

Anthony DiPaolo (Tony/Pop), 92, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Portland, ME, Tony resided in Wrightstown, NJ, for the majority of his life. He served in the 112th Battalion during WWII and later worked in the Laborers Union Local 172 and for the NJ State Police. Tony was a generous, kind-hearted man who loved his family more than anything. He enjoyed attending his grandsons’ activities, gardening, and working outdoors. In his later years, he adored spending time with his great grandchildren, solving puzzles, and painting crafts.
Tony was predeceased by his parents, George and Minnie DiPaolo, his beloved wife, Roberta (MacDougal), and siblings, Marie Ryan, John DiPaolo, and Rosario DiPaolo. He is survived by his daughters, Sharon and husband Scott Holzbaur, Jaci Pigott and significant other Michael Hensley, his grandsons, Steven Holzbaur, wife Lynette, and children, Jeffrey and Dayna, Michael Holzbaur and significant other Cheryl Bauer, Bill Pigott and wife Maggee, Anthony Pigott, fiancé Heather, and children Christian Cook and Kadence Pigott. Tony is also survived by his brothers, Orlando DiPaolo, George Jr. and wife Louise, his sister-in-law, Adelina DiPaolo, and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather for a memorial service on Saturday, June 6, 2015, from 10AM to 12PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt NJ 08533(TilghmanFH.com). A service will begin at 12PM with burial to follow at Jacobstown Baptist Cemetery.
