Gertrude C. Gross, 76, of Browns Mills passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, July 11, 2015. She was born in Brooklyn to the late Alexander and Margaret Stock (Rector). Gertrude was a dedicated member of Rose of Sharon in Jacobstown for many years. She was a homemaker and loved being able to stay at home and care for her 8 children. Gertrude was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed. Gertrude is predeceased by her parents, her loving husband William A. Gross, daughter Dawn Gross and her grandson William Gross. She leaves behind her only son William Gross; her 6 daughters, Donna Hummel, Dale Apel, Darla Swinger, Doreen Wardell, Deborah Cesaro and Denise Swinger; 16 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and her sister Gladys Hannawacker. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Rose of Sharon Church located at 42 Chesterfield Jacobstown Rd, Wrightstown, NJ 08562 on Thursday, July 16, 2015 from 6PM to 8PM with a service to begin at 8PM. Burial will take place at Long Island National Cemetery on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 1PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Gertrude’s memory to the Rose of Sharon Church.
