Obituary of Ronald Edward Parks

Ronald E. Parks, Sr., age 65, of Browns Mills passed away Saturday, August 22 at Care One in Marlton. Born in Mt. Holly, he lived in Browns Mills for the past 40 years. Ron was a retired truck driver for the Teamsters Local 676 in Camden. He was a member of the New Egypt United Methodist Church and was a former PAL coach and former member of the Moose Lodge, both in Pemberton. Ron was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies, enjoyed watching NASCAR and going to UWC Pro Wrestling matches. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Debra (Hopkins) Parks; two sons, Ronald Parks, Jr. and wife Stephanie of Burlington and Travis Parks and wife Colleen of Spring Lake Heights; three grandchildren, Hailey and Kendall Parks and Benjamin Parks; four brothers, Elmer Parks and wife Dolly of Pemberton, Charles Parks and wife Pat of Burlington, Arthur Parks of Mount Holly and James Parks and wife Connie of South Carolina, a sister, Eleanor Holman of Heading and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Ron will be held on Wednesday, August 26 at 7:00 PM at the New Egypt United Methodist Church – Atkinson Hall on Fort Avenue in New Egypt. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Atkinson Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ron’s name can be made to the Deborah Hospital Foundation, P. O. Box 820, Browns Mills, NJ 08015 (www.deborahfoundation.org). Arrangements are under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral Home in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com).
