Donald B. Russell, age 81, of Wrightstown passed away Tuesday, September 1 at Deborah Hospital in Browns Mills. Born in Nantucket, MA, he resided in Wrightstown since 1980 and formerly of Cookstown and McGuire AFB. Don proudly served in the US Air Force for 23 years during both the Korean and Vietnam Wars, retiring in 1976. He attended the McGuire AFB Chapel and was a member of the VFW Post 5045 in Bordentown. Don enjoyed playing the drums and also played in the Air Force Band and he liked spending time with his dog, Sammy. Don is survived by his wife of 58 years, Edeltraud “Ellen” Russell, three sons, Donald W. Russell, Sr., Steven Russell and John Russell all of Westampton; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services for Don will be held on Tuesday, September 8 at 12:30 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), burial with military honors to follow at the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown. Calling hours will be Monday evening, September 7 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
