Obituary of Dwight Hogeland

Dwight Hogeland, age 73, of New Egypt died Wednesday, June 6 at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly. Born in Rector, Arkansas, he had been a resident of New Egypt for the past 15 years and formerly of Wrightstown. Dwight was retired from the US Army as a Sgt. 1st Class after 20 years, serving during the Korean and Viet Nam Wars. After his retirement from the Army, he worked in Civil Service at Fort Dix in Range Control for 20 years. He also was an avid golfer. Dwight is survived by his wife, Margaret Hogeland of New Egypt; two step-sons, Wayne Rose & wife Clara of New Egypt and Rick Rose of Cookstown; a step-daughter, Carole Moore of Bordentown and three grandchildren, Zachary Rose, Erin Moore and Shannon Ciancia. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 8 at 12:00 noon at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with Rev. William Walker, officiating. Interment will be in the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown. Calling hours will be on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
