Charles A. South, age 70, of New Egypt passed away Sunday, November 22 at Deborah Hospital in Browns Mills. Born in Mt. Holly, he was a lifetime New Egypt area resident. Charlie was a retired custodian and had worked at Allentown High School and most recently at Bordentown Schools and enjoyed hunting. Charlie is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Kelly and Lisa South of Mobile, AL; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Randy Byrne of Chesapeake, VA; three grandchildren, Justin Byrne, Dillon South and Celia Byrne; a brother, Forrest “Jimmy” South of New Egypt and a nephew, James South and his daughter Rachel. Funeral services and burial for Charlie will be private at the convenience of the family under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral Home in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com).
