Obituary of Leonard R. Perrine

Leonard R. “Lenny” Perrine, age 57, of Riverside passed away suddenly of a heart attack Tuesday, January 26 at Lourdes Medical Center in Willingboro. Born in Mt. Holly, he lived in Browns Mills before moving to Burlington three years ago and Riverside for the past year.
Lenny previously worked in construction at Crestwood Manor in Whiting and also worked construction with his brother. He also worked with his father who owned Buster’s Junk Yard in Browns Mills and he enjoyed scrapping and working on cars. Lenny could always be found at WaWa. Even though it was sad to lose him, he will be helping many people to live better lives by his organ donation. He truly was a “Hero”.
Lenny was predeceased by his father, Leonard “Buster” Perrine, and two brothers, Denny and Ronald Perrine. He is survived by a son, Leonard R. “Leo” Perrine of Riverside; a daughter, Mary Kowalsky of Riverside; his mother, Pearl Perrine of Browns Mills; his former companion, best friend and the mother of his children, Mary Perrine; four grandchildren, Sandy-Lyn Kowalsky, Joseph Kowalsky, Daniel Kowalsky and Joy Kowalsky; a brother, Ricky Perrine and companion Alice Budden of Browns Mills; three sisters, Karen Becker and husband Dave of Vermont, Shirley Schmidt of Whiting and Arline Perrine and companion Jerry Parker of Whiting and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services for Lenny will be held on Saturday, January 30 at 2:00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 (www.tilghmanfh.com) with burial to follow in the Cream Ridge Cemetery in Cream Ridge. Calling hours will be on Saturday from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with the funeral expenses.
