Obituary of Alberta Snellenberger

Alberta Snellenberger, age 89, of Prince George, VA passed away Tuesday, February 23 at John Randolph Medical Center in Hopewell, VA. Born in Bordentown, NJ, she was a longtime resident of Cookstown, NJ before moving to Virginia in 1999. Alberta was employed by Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson when she lived in New Jersey and enjoyed working there. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Snellenberger; a daughter Shirley Badon a brother Stanley Foster and three sisters Ruth Turner, Margaret Butler and Elsie Gilliland. Alberta is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Rickey and Debbie Snellenberger of Richmond, VA; two daughters Darlene Webster of Prince George, VA and Penny Snellenberger of Richmond, VA; a son-in-law James Badon of Browns Mills, NJ; eleven grandchildren; several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Alberta will be held on Tuesday, March 1 at 11:00 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 (www.tilghmanfh.com), with burial to follow in Bordentown Cemetery in Bordentown. Calling hours will be on Monday evening, February 29 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Alberta’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 (www.cancer.org) for Breast Cancer Research.
