William “Bill” H. Chamberlin of Murrells Inlet, formerly Hightstown, NJ went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 26, 2016 after a short illness.
Bill was born in Trenton, NJ to the late Solveig Pedersen and Henry Chamberlin of Hightstown and predeceased by his grandparents, brother Robert Chamberlin, niece Jennifer Field and his father-in-law Stanley “Sandy” Sager. Bill was a 1964 graduate of Hightstown High School. He was with the New Jersey National Guard from 1965 to 1975, a member of Murrells Inlet Presbyterian Church, past president of the NJ State and Mercer County Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling Contractors. A member of the NRA, the National Plumbing and Heating Association, the National Standard Plumbing Code Committee, New Jersey Code Committee, and the sub code Advisory Board, the East Windsor Township Rescue Squad, the World Class Riders of Hamilton, NJ, and the Wednesday and Saturday Bass Fishing Club. He recently retired as a self-employed Master Plumber from his company, Chamberlin Plumbing and Heating Company of Windsor, NJ. Bill was a former teacher of Mercer County Vocational Technical College, night school plumbing and heating apprenticeship program for over 10 years and an assistant Scout Master for Pack #67, Hightstown. Bill’s hobbies were bass fishing, riding his Harley Road King, antique car shows, and eating breakfast out at the Hightstown Diner with family and friends.
Bill is survived by his wife of 28 years, Karen Lee (Sager) Chamberlin; son William H. Chamberlin, Jr, his wife Ashli and 8 year old granddaughter Tess; siblings, Henry “Pete” Chamberlin, his wife Kathleen, Linda Mayer, her husband Frank of Florida, Sheila Carnevale, her husband Nick; mother in law Nancy Sager, sister and brother in law Diane Jackson, her husband Rick; special aunt, Edythe Sharf, several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles, special friends and fishing buddies.
A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 8:30 PM at the Barlow & Zimmer Funeral Home, 202 Stockton Street, Hightstown, NJ 08520. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, April 26 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 5:00 to 8:30 PM at the funeral home.
