Augusta “Gussie” Mitchell, 80, of Cream Ridge passed away with her loving family by her side at home. She was born in Upper Freehold Township to the late Harry and Vivian Hotchkin. Gussie worked in the cafeteria for many years at the Allentown High School before retiring. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and playing cards. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Gussie is predeceased by her parents, her husband John A. Mitchell, her daughter Cynthia Dancer and 3 brothers Leonard Hotchkin, Richard Hotchkin and Herbert Hotchkin. She leaves behind her son John Mitchell Jr and his wife Theresa of Wrightstown; 5 grandchildren, Diane and her husband Paul, Dean and his wife Kathy, Crystal, John and Shelley; 5 great-grandchildren, Zachary, Josh, Sarah, Joey and Makenzie; her brother Russell Hotchkin; and lifelong friends Betty Szymanski and Phoebe Crammer. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, March 17, 2016 from 6PM to 9PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt NJ 08533 (TilghmanFH.com).
