Dear Blanche Hallock & Gerri Reed (my mother) were the most treasured of friends - the gift of a friendship that sustained them through their lives. Such a gift given has so many dimensions - dimensions that provide the kinds of resources that get us through the worst and give us company, come what may. Blanche's rich laughter, her delicious food, & her love of life - life not only in the family she treasured to the max - life she grew & shared so avidly with others. To include everyone of us! May the days of grieving Blanche's passing mature and give us to know that life is good, it is generous, and it is a mystery at its core that gives us to know that love indeed is what powers us, through & through... Aunt Blanche is a wonderful aunt. She was always happy, . Didn't let things bother her. She cared for others and lived her life admirable as she raised and cared for her family. Her stalwartness in life is an example for us all. We can all learn from her and how she dealt with life. I am fortunate to call her my aunt and may her children and grandchildren continue to honor her in all the daily chores in life. Will miss you Auntie Blanche. Love Mike and Joy

Aunt Blanche,you will be missed very much by myself and family. You were a kind and loving lady who tirelessly did so much for others.I will miss your ice tea, peanut butter spritz cookies in the charlie chip can, and your strawberry freezer jam, which you did teach me how to make, though of course yours always tasted better. You instilled in me a wonderful work ethic, especially which was needed working summers on the farm. Picking bushel baskets of beans for 25 cents definitely made me a better person! Now you can enjoy your new life with your siblings and have a good laugh. You can now talk about everyone! love you and miss you! Joanie, Wayne, Bryan, Chris, and Chelsea

Mrs. Hallock could always be counted on to make you smile. She managed to find the lighter side of any difficult issue the world tossed at her. I consider myself very blessed for having known her for so many years. We will truly remember her infectious laughter and loving kindness. Our deepest sympathy to her wonderful family. I am so sorry for your loss. Blanche was a lovely woman who was very proud of her family. I first got to know her when I was a Den Mother and my husband was Cubmaster of Pack 7 here in New Egypt. She and your dad were very involved and we shared quite a lot of time together in scouting activities. They - and all of you have worked very hard to develop and grow your farm. It was the first U-Pick farm I visited and where my children and I picked lots of strawberries through the years. As a business, Hallock’s has always been so community and customer friendly. I will always remember Blanche’s great smile and laugh. My deepest sympathy to all of your family. Pat Gale

Blanche Hallock was a wonderful lady. As her accountant, I had many meetings with her. She always had a smile for everyone, and a great sense of humor. Her knowledge of Hallock Farm was amazing. She had a lot of pictures of before, after, and now, of the Farm. She educated me on the entire history of the farm. She was a very kind and generous person. She always made you feel welcome, and you always wanted to be around her. I am very saddened by her passing, and will miss her terribly. My condolences go out to Douglas, Charlie, Tricia, Debbie, and Bobby. Ron Petrics
